Moving home in later life generally means downsizing, which can be emotionally and physically demanding. This can interfere with a potential sale and even lead to withdrawing a property from the market as panic and inertia set in, when the client realises they cannot manage the work involved.


Senior Services can help facilitate a smooth sales process. We can ensure the home is well-presented and makes a positive first impression, assist with paperwork, help declutter, dispose of unwanted furniture, clear attics, garages and outbuildings. We support older clients emotionally and physically throughout the process and liaise with the estate agent. These measures help to keep the sale moving forwards, increase the likelihood of a successful and shorter completion and greatly reduce the estate agent’s work.


Care and Nursing Homes

Moving into residential care can be a distressing transition for many people. Where the client needs to move quickly, there is little time to sort out their belongings or affairs prior to the move. This can be very worrying for them and make it more difficult to settle into their new environment.


Working with a dedicated and experienced senior move manager can make a difficult time more manageable for all concerned. We work closely with the client, family and residential staff, keeping them informed and providing practical assistance and emotional support to ensure the move is as smooth as possible.
